National Dance Week Foundation exists to expose and introduce as many people as possible to the enjoyment and benefits of dance by promoting dance in schools, expanding community awareness, and increasing professional development. We’ve been doing it for over 30 years but in some ways we’re just getting started, expanding to new dance communities, finding new ways to express our passion for dance, and reaching new movers every day.

The success of our mission depends on participation from people like you.

Make your move! Become a National Dance Week Foundation Representative today and help bring dance into the lives of people everywhere.

A NDWF Representative has a passion for dance, wants to help fulfill the National Dance Week Foundation mission, and is interested in organizing events, activities, and promotions in their locale during National Dance Week and throughout a yearly term from July 1 to June 31.

Representatives have an interest in proactively reaching out to the press and media with updates and news about NDW events, helping to inform, educate, and advance National Dance Week Foundation’s message.

What Representatives Do

Spread the Word -- Representatives show the non-dancing public the positive effects dance has on the body, mind, and spirit.

  • Within their organization or business

  • Within their local communities

  • Within their online networks

Listed HERE are just some of the ways to get involved and spread the word.

Stay in Touch -- Representatives are part of a special community of dance enthusiasts who strengthen the National Dance Week Foundation and connect to form a web of supporters across the country and beyond.

  • Participate and provide feedback in our NDWF Representative Facebook Group

  • Become points of contact for others when listed on our website

  • Share news of events and outreach activities with us

How much work should I expect as a Representative?

The activity of each individual Representative is voluntary and varies from person to person.

What are the benefits of becoming a Representative?

We highly value the work being done to organize activities and further our mission. When you choose to become a Representative, you will be mailed a personalized thank you for your participation along with a certificate of recognition and a NDWF window decal suitable for office, studio, or business display.

In addition to the listing on our website, we offer public recognition of NDWF Representatives via popular social networks like Facebook and Twitter. These small tokens of our gratitude enhance your online visibility and clout.

Finally, we encourage events that spread the word about National Dance Week Foundation and serve as marketing opportunities for our Representatives. To help you successfully do both, a series of downloadable guides and marketing files, as well as access to an army of fellow event organizers via our website and Facebook group, are available.
