NDF's Rhythm Works Scholarship

10 Special NDF Scholarships for Rhythm Works Integrative Dance

National Dance Foundation thanks to a special grant is happy to announce the ability to award 10 Rhythm Works Integrative Dance Instructor Scholarships.

The first 5 will be rewarded September 3rd.  The deadline for those applications will be August 31st.

NDF and Rhythm Works are looking for those to help support NDF’s mission of Kindness, Inclusion and Community, create awareness and educating the dance community how to take the lead and make a difference. The goal is to see more dance opportunities for special needs dancers and ensuring dance is bully free zone for all.

 First preference will be given to NDF Ambassadors and those who have already or plan to participate in any of the NDF activities such as National Dance Week, NBA Pregame Performances NDF, Dance Mob and Shout Out.

 

 Scholarship Application

Each scholarship will cover the cost for 1 teacher to become a certified Rhythm Works Integrative Dance instructor (a $535 value) via their on-demand online course.  It also includes the first year of membership (a $99 value) to The Rhythm Works Society, their online support community filled with resources and a global network of certified teachers and therapists to help you along the way. The course is self-paced and provides over 17 hours of video education to be completed within 30 days of starting the course. Topics covered include sensory integration and its role in learning, behavior and self-regulation, understanding challenging behavior, cognitively appropriate teaching strategies, movement safety, choreography modifications, applications to skill development and so much more! This certification provides dance teachers the ability to confidently and effectively teach students with varying needs in both specialized and inclusive class settings. 

All winners will be notified by email and announced on both NDF and Rhythm Works social media.
